Merapi Hike
Posted by: | CommentsAs one of the most active volcanoes in Indonesia, Mt. Merapi has always been considered a top adventure destination. Most of hikers reach the summit via a small village of Selo on the slope of Mt Merapi in the northern side – this is the easiest trek – also for the beginners
Climbing at midnight and reaching the top at dawn, and enjoy the spectacular sunrise on the top and the fascinating landscape. Because of the eruption in 2006 and last eruption on October 2010 the summit changed. After the sunrise we trek down and rejoin the couch.
If you stay at hotel in Jogja, we’ll depart from hotel at 22.00. After around 2 hours driving we reach Selo village, taking a rest and preparing to climb up the volcano

Day 1 Arrival – Yogyakarta – Malioboro – Sunset Parangtritis (LD)
Upon arrival in Yogyakarta, you will meet with our guide at the exit arrival hall, meeting service and next drive to Malioboro shopping center, proceed to visit Kasongan village and having sunset at Parangtritis beach. Lunch and Dinner at local restaurant.
Day 2 Lava Tour & Prambanan Tour, Yogyakarta (BLD)
After breakfast, pick up from at your hotel and proceed to Cangkringan – a village in the slope of Mt Merapi that is totally destroyed after the last great eruption of Merapi in November 4th and 5th , 2010. The hot cloud ( pyroclastic flow ) hit this village. During the last eruption Merapi has spewed more than 1 million cubic meter volcanic materials and covered this village – including visit the Museum Gunung Merapi or Merapi Volcano Museum which was built by supporting cost of the Department of Energy, Mining and Natural Resources and opened at October 1st, 2009. Afterward visit Prambanan Temple the largest archaeological remains of Hindu. Lunch and Diner at Local resto. Back to Hotel.
Day 3 Yogyakarta, Borobudur , City Tour (BLD)
After breakfast, transfer to Borobudur Temple. It’s known as one of “The World’s Seven Wonder”. Tour including visit Pawon & Mendut Temples the smaller Buddhist monuments. Continue for Yogyakarta City Tour by visiting Sultan Royal Palace, Water Castle, Ngasem Bird Market, Batik Home Industry and silver work at Kota Gede. Lunch and Dinner will be served at local restaurants Then transfer to your hotel for check in and overnight.
Day 4 Transfer out (B)
Transfer to Yogyakarta Airport
